FULL-TIME, PART-TIME or ONE TIME! WE NEED YOUR HELP

BLOMHA is a non-profit organization and as such, we rely on volunteers to fulfill all roles within the association with the exception of our office staff and game officials. Whether the role is that of a Board Member or a team Coach, every volunteer plays a vital role in the framework of BLOMHA.

By offering your time and skills you are helping BLOMHA to achieve our main mission of maintaining an environment in which the children can flourish. There are many opportunities for you to contribute within the Association; please visit all of the volunteer sections – we're sure there's a spot for you!

If your time available to volunteer is limited or sporadic, please note that during the season BLOMHA is in need of help at 'one time' events, such as tournaments or Minor Hockey Day. These opportunities to volunteer will be posted under Special Events.

Also for those with limited time... during the year various committees are struck for special events or you could volunteer to sit on one of our regular committees.

We also welcome children over the age of 14 who can assist with timekeeping at games during the year and for special events. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to earn some hours required for their community service credit.

The minimum requirement for our volunteers is a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Clearance (VSSPC). A Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Clearance is valid for two seasons. If you have a Police Clearance dated before 2006, it is invalid.

A Vulnerable Sector Screening form can be obtained at the BLOMHA office or click here to download a PDF to hand into the office with your application. BLOMHA will process the form and send the results to you. The fee is $15.00 payable by cash or cheque to BLOMHA.
